Helping Students

THRIVE

Hangers is so much more than clothing assistance

What to Expect at a Hangers Appointment

Many students face economic challenges that can affect self-image and interfere with learning.  Hangers gives all EVSC students the ability to thrive by looking and feeling their best, every day.
Hangers serves any EVSC student in need, with recommendation from a school counselor, principal, social worker, nurse, or other school staff.

Parents will need to complete a Student Clothing Resource Form, providing consent and approximate clothing sizes for their child. This form will be returned to your school prior to your scheduled appointment. *All forms will be available to you through your school.

Once we receive a student’s service form, we schedule an appointment for a visit to Hangers. Parents can elect to transport their student to Hangers for their child’s appointment. Students get to select  school-appropriate clothing, uniforms, shoes, coats, underwear, socks, and hygiene products. If transportation is not possible, clothing is dropped off at the school for the student.

Our volunteers and donors make it possible

Organized Inventory

Our dedicated volunteers work hard to sort, organize, and inventory incoming donations. Their hard work prepares the space so that students can have a true shopping experience.

Generous Donations

We can't do what we do without a wide range of sizes and the supplies to support over 3,000 students a year. Every contribution helps us support the needs of our students.

Welcoming Space

Inside and out, we want Hangers to be a safe and welcoming space for all our students and families. Our volunteers help us preserve that feeling through scheduled workdays.
