In 2026, come discover a whole new world in our production of...
Aladdin
Aladdin
A tour team from Missoula Children’s Theatre will arrive in Evansville this June with lights, costumes, props, a set, and makeupー everything needed to put on a play, except the cast!
Mark your calendars and come out for auditions on June 8th, 2026!
Children’s Theatre was financially assisted by The Mesker Music Trust, Fifth Third Bank, N.A., Trustee.
With help from the Missoula Children’s Theatre, wishes come true…
It’s a swirling sandstorm of famous Arabian Tales from Ali Baba to Scheherazade, and even Sinbad the Sailor, as Aladdin journeys to find a magic lamp in a Cave of (not-so-great) Wonders.
Along his way Aladdin seeks answers and advice from wise Genies, a powerful Sultan, and his own Mother to find a way to meet the Princess. However, even with the lamp in hand, Aladdin will have to learn that it takes more than a wish to make a good impression.
Full of memorable characters, from lost Penguins to talking Palm Trees, this is an adventure worthy of 1,001 laughs. We look forward to seeing you at our performance on June 13th!
Thanks to the generosity of The Mesker Music Trust, Children’s Theatre workshops and program is free for all participants.
All auditions, rehearsals, and performances will be at
McGary Middle School (1535 S Joyce Avenue Evansville, IN 47714).

Auditions
Be adventurous and come out for auditions!
This production is open to students who will be entering first grade in the fall of 2026 through students who completed eighth grade.
Approximately 50 local students will be cast to appear in the show with the Missoula Children's Theatre Tour Actor/Director. Up to four students will be cast as Assistant Directors. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play.
Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled start time and stay for the entire two-hour session. Some cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition. This is a group audition and no advanced preparation is necessary.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals will be conducted every day during the week of residency, from June 8-13, 2026.
Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role and be available for all scheduled performances.
A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition.
Cast members scheduled for entire rehearsals will be asked to bring a sack lunch, dinner, or snack to be eaten during breaks.
