Meet David Devine of Devine Custom Painting

Getting to Know Our EVSC Alumni
Where did you go to high school, and who was your favorite teacher?
I went to Reitz High School. Mr. Fellnock was my favorite teacher- he owned a bunch of moped cars and loved talking about them.
What activities were you involved in?
I played both baseball and football.
Devine Painting supports a lot of teams and programs in the city. Why does giving back mean so much to you?
I always played sports and then coached and was president of a youth league. As a kid, I loved having a company’s name on my jersey. It showed someone supported us and that meant a lot as a young kid.
I have and will always support our youth in this community. I love doing it and know how much it is truly needed.
What is your favorite memory from high school?
Playing for the Panthers Football team. Like so many others, playing for Reitz High School was something I will never forget.
Who was your favorite coach?
Baseball Coach John Ritter, he was without question my favorite coach.
How did Devine Custom Painting begin?
Honestly it was just me, a truck, and a paint sprayer. I love what it has grown to be! There have been challenges over the years like many small businesses face. I have worked hard over the years to find and retain great employees and am grateful for where we are today.
A Commitment to Supporting Our Community
Here are a few examples of how the Devines Give Back!
Devine Custom Painting has given back to the community in so many ways.
They grinded all of Lodge Elementary School's playground equipment to make it look brand new -for free! Devine said it felt incredible to be a part of a project that brought so much joy to kids!
They painted all Bosse High School Baseball Buildings, Batting Cages and Dugouts- for free!
They painted for Stringtown and Harwood.
Devine Custom Painting sponsors several youth baseball teams every year and also sponsor a cheer program.
