Don’t miss an opportunity to see their brilliant work at the 35th EVSC Summer Musical: The Addams Family, July 13-16, in Aiken Theatre at the Old National Events Plaza.
Co-Producer and Production Stage Manager: Tiffany Ball
Tiffany Schriber Ball has worked as a stage manager, from Texas to New York. Known to many as T. Ball, she has acted as co-producer/production stage manager of the EVSC Foundation /PEF Summer Musical for the last 15 years and is a co-creator of the Bosse Theatre Project. Since 2013, Tiffany has produced ten fundraising musical productions to benefit the Jacob Ball Wish Fund, created in memory of her precious son, Jacob, who passed away in 2013 at age 12. The Wish Fund grants wishes for children with special needs so they may have educational and life experiences not otherwise funded. Ms. Ball is the Manager of Fine Arts Programs for the EVSC, and loves being a member of the Evansville community.
Director/Choreographer: Robert Hunt
The Addams Family is Robert’s ninth EVSC Summer Musical. Robert has been a theatre professional for over thirty years. He studied acting and musical theatre at Roosevelt University and Weber State University and most recently earned a degree in performing arts and cultural justice at Lake Forest College. His career as an actor offered him the opportunity to work closely with artists at the top of the field playing starring roles on Broadway, Off-Broadway, on National Tours, and at Carnegie Hall. As an educator and an award-winning director, Robert discovered his passion for teaching young and emerging talent. Robert teaches voice and acting to private students, coaching several to successfully book Broadway shows. He has written and directed revues and original musicals for workshops in NYC.
Music Director: Tyler Simpson
We are excited to welcome Tyler Simpson as our music director to the 35th EVSC Summer Musical team for the production of The Addams Family. Tyler Simpson is Fine Arts Department Chair and Choral Director at Harrison High School in Evansville, Indiana. He holds a BS in Music from the University of Evansville ’11, an MM in Music Education from Boston University ’15 and an EdS in Education Administration from Ball State University ’22. Outside the classroom, Tyler is also active as a church musician and has played piano and provided music direction for over 70 community and collegiate theatre performances.
Scene Designer: Paul Weimer
Paul Weimer is an associate professor and chair of Performing Arts at the University of Southern Indiana and the resident scenic designer for USI Theatre. He spent many years in New York City working as an associate set designer on numerous Broadway shows and national tours, including The Phantom of the Opera, Spamalot, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Shrek, Ghost, Matilda & The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, working with directors such as Harold Prince & Mike Nichols. Paul earned a BA from Ohio Northern University and a MFA from the University of Wisconsin/Madison. He is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 and served on the negotiating committee for the union’s Broadway contract and on the Scenic Design entrance exam committee.
Lighting Designer: Dana Taylor
Dana Taylor is a technical theatre educator and author. With a focus on the technical theatre needs of secondary schools, Dana and his working group initiated the technical theatre assessment program BACKstage in 2018. Dana received the Founder’s Award from the Educational Theatre Association in 2011 and in 2014, received the United States Institute for Theatre Technology’s (USITT) Distinguished Achievement Award for Education. Dana currently serves as a director of USITT.
Sound Designer: Josh Stallings
Josh Stallings is excited to be working on the EVSC Summer Musical once again! He joined as part of the digital production of Sweeney Todd and has since served as the Lighting Designer for Cinderella and Sound Designer for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical. He has been on the staff/faculty at USI since 2019, where he fills various roles as a composer, designer, technician, and educator. Previously, Joshua spent seven years in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota where he worked many full time and freelance roles across theatre, television, music, and corporate production. Since returning to his native Indiana, he has worked to support theatre across the state, including assisting local high schools and designing and composing for rural arts projects.
Technical Director: Andy Hammond
Andy Hammond as Technical Director. He earned his BFA in Technical Theatre from the University of Evansville. Andy has been the Technical Director at USI for the past 6 years and has been the Technical Director for EVSC Summer Musical for 3 years. Before that Andy was based out of Louisville doing live event production all over the country with a local production company. When not constructing for productions Andy spends time with his wife and son at home.
